Research & production company «ERGA» had designed and started mass production of inexpensive PSM-4 overhead magnetic separators.

Application

SMPR separators are designed for removal of tramp metal from dry products, transported on a conveyor belt or vibratory feeder. They are usually installed when it's impossible to install magnetic pulleys or when removal of fine ferromagnetic admixtures is not required.

Installation

PSM-4 overhead separators magnetic separators are installed at approximately 150 mm. above the conveyor belt. This model was especially designed for  grain or cereal processing plants. For maximum separation efficiency it is advised to install PSM-4 separators at the conveyor's endpoint, where the product is dropped off the belt and is in a state of suspension.

Principle of operation

PSM-4 overhead separators extract tramp metal from the product flow by a powerful magnetic field, generated by Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets. When the product moves into the magnetic field area below the separator, tramp metal is drawn to the surface of the magnetic system and is held there until cleaning. Purified product continues its movement on the conveyor belt.

Summary

This separator model is a modified version of traditional overhead separators, which has a number of advantages over electromagnetic separators, such as no energy consumption at all and a long lifespan. PSM-4 separators are easily installed and serviced and require no modifications in the existing technological line. Overhead separators are widely used in many industries.

Technical characteristics :

  1. Separated product fraction – up to 50 mm;
  2. Separated material humidity – up to 25%;
  3. Magnetic system material - Nd-Fe-B, (BH) max > 300 kJ/m3;
  4. Maximum operation temperature - +60 °С (+120 °С );
  5. Cleaning system - mechanical;
  6. Stability of magnetic properties is guaranteed for 20 years.

Technical parameters of all separators can be changed according to customer's specific requests. Separators are fire/explosion-safe devices, which can be used in complicated conditions, requiring strict observance of safety regulations. If you didn't find a separator, suitable for your needs, fill in the order form and send it to our specialists to design and manufacture a separator, complying with your request.
