Suspended separators (self-cleaning)
SMPA model

  Questionnaire            Printer-friendly version

Research & production company «ERGA» has designed and successfully implemented an SMPA model of suspended magnetic separators for removal of tramp metal from granulated products, transported on a conveyer belt or vibratory feeder.

Application

Magnetic separators SMPA are designed for removal of ferromagnetic metals from dry free-flowing materials, transported on a conveyer or a vibratory feeder. This model is usually used when the installation of drum separators is not possible or removal of small ferromagnetic particles is not required.

Installation

Suspended separators are usually installed 100-300 mm. above the conveyer belt. SMPA magnetic separators are specifically designed for operation in complicated conditions. This type of separators can be used for removal of large ferromagnetic metals.

Principle of operation

Operation of this model is based on the principle of extraction of magnetic metals from various materials by the magnetic field, created by permanent NdFeB magnets. Ferromagnetic particles, influenced by a powerful magnetic field, are drawn to the surface of the separator (conveyer belt), and stay on its surface until automatic cleaning. Purified material continues its way on a conveyer. When the product layer is high, or when extraction of fine ferromagnetic particles is needed, it is possible to install SMPA separators above the conveyor's discharge point.

Sammary

High efficiency and low energy consumption (in comparison with electromagnetic separators), as well as a long-time work duration (in comparison with ferrite-based separators), make this separator popular in mining and smelting, glass, wood-processing, recycling and other industries.

Technical characteristics:

  1. Separated product fraction - 0,1 - 100 mm;
  2. Separated material humidity - up to 5%;
  3. Magnetic system material - Nd-Fe-B, (BH) max > 300 kJ/m3;
  4. Magnetic induction on the surface of the system, at t=20(°С), - 200 - 300 (mTsl);
  5. Maximum operation temperature - +80°С (+120°С);
  6. Installation height - 100-300 mm above the conveyor belt;
  7. Cleaning system - self-cleaning;
  8. Stability of magnetic properties is guaranteed for 10 years.

Technical parameters of all separators can be changed according to customer's specific requests. Separators are fire/explosion-safe devices, which can be used in complicated conditions, requiring strict observance of safety regulations. If you didn't find a separator, suitable for your needs, fill in the order form and send it to our specialists to design and manufacture a separator, complying with your request.
