Research and production company «Erga» has designed and successfully implemented new series of magnetic SMVR separators for processing of products, inclined to adhesion.

Application

SMVR magnetic separators are designed for high quality removal of ferromagnetic metal particles for powder-like free-flowing products, inclined to forming lumps, adhering and choking-up in transportation systems on product processing lines.

Installation

SMVR systems are usually installed when there is a possibility of installation of new equipment in the existing technological line with few constructive revisions, on the stage of feeding raw materials to the production line, or as a final production quality control stage.

Principle of operation

SMVR separator consists of a sealed rectangular case, with a magnetic system, installed on a drive pulley (so-called drum, consisting of magnetic rods with removable casings, arranged in a circular form). Motor-reductor, setting the drive pulley in motion, is installed on the outer side of the casing. A special “maintenance door” on the frontal surface of the separator's casing is used for accessing magnetic system of the separator. This door is installed on a hinge and during the working cycle it is hermetically drawn to the casing. For convenient mounting of the device into the technological line, it is equipped with conjunctive flanges, produced according to dimensions, provided by the customers.

During the working cycle the product is transported through the separator's magnetic system, which revolves around its axis for maximum separation efficiency. Under the influence of a strong magnetic field, ferromagnetic admixtures, contained in the product, evenly settle on the surface of magnetic rods' casings. Rotation of the magnetic system helps to constantly mix the product and to eliminate possibility of product's chocking-up inside the separator.

Before cleaning the separator from collected admixtures, product feed into the working zone is stopped. The drum with the magnetic system is taken out of the working zone, magnetic rods are pulled out of their casings as far as the lock pin allows. After complete retraction of magnetic rods, admixtures automatically fall of into the tray.

Summary

SMVR magnetic separators are used in powder metallurgy, construction materials, foodstuffs industries: for separation of dried milk, glass charge, plaster, chalk, carbon and other powder-like products.

Technical characteristics :

  1. Separated material fraction - 0,001 - 1 mm;
  2. Separated material humidity – up to 2%;
  3. Output – up to 20 t/hour;
  4. Magnetic system material Nd-Fe-B, (ВН)max > 300 kJ/m3;
  5. Magnetic induction on the surface of the magnetic system at t=20(°С), - 150 - 700 (mTsl);
  6. Maximum operation temperature – up to +80 °С (+120 °С);
  7. Cleaning system - mechanical (manual);
  8. Stability of magnetic properties is guaranteed for 10 years.
