Research and production company «ERGA» has designed and successfully introduced into production ASMK model of self-cleaning magnetic grate separators.

Application

ASMK magnetic separators are designed for automatic continuous removal of ferrous metals from a directional flow of various granulated products.

Installation

ASMK magnetic grates are usually used when there is a possibility to install new equipment into an existing production line with certain constructive revisions of the product transportation scheme. ASMK separators can be installed in vertical pipelines and in open flow areas.

Principle of operation

ASMK magnetic separators are used for extraction of ferromagnetic admixtures from separated products by magnetic rods with magnetic systems based on NdFeB permanent magnets.

Main construction elements of the separator are moving magnetic rods (MR) with stainless steel casings. ASMK separators also include a stainless steel case, with a product separation zone, ferromagnetic admixtures discharge zone, a zone for electropneumatic elements and also guiding supports for separator's active parts, providing their horizontal movement. To reach maximum efficiency of separation and optimal flow distribution, special splitter grates have been introduced into the separator's construction, located above magnetic system casings. They also prevent magnetic field lockups between nearby magnetic rods, which could have been caused by occasional ferromagnetic bodies longer than 25 mm. (wires and electrodes). In the rear part of the separator's casing is a special compartment, where electropneumatic equipment is installed, connected to the remote control system and designed for generation and distribution of compressed air. Main element of the remote control system is a timer, allowing setting of the optimal operation mode of the separator, i.e. adjustment of the necessary interval between cleaning procedures of magnetic rods.

Summary

ASMK magnetic separators are used when automation of the production process is required, or when the content of ferromagnetic admixtures is high. This type of magnetic separators can also be used when it is impossible to reach the separator for periodical manual cleaning.

Technical characteristics :

  1. Separated product fraction - 0,01 - 3 mm;
  2. Separated product humidity – up to 3%;
  3. Output - 0,010 - 100 t/hour;
  4. Magnetic system material - Nd-Fe-B, (BH) max > 310 kJ/m3;
  5. Magnetic induction on the surface of the magnetic system at t=20(°С ), - 350 - 700 mTsl;
  6. Maximum operation temperature – up to +80 °С (+100 °С );
  7. Cleaning system – automatic (combined);
  8. Stability of magnetic properties is guaranteed for 10 years.

Separators are fire/explosion-safe devices, which can be used in complicated conditions, requiring strict observance of safety regulations.
