Research & production company «Erga» has designed and successfully implemented grate magnetic separators for pneumatic transport systems (SM series).

Application

SM separators are used for effective removal of tramp metal from granulated and free-flowing products.

Installation

Magnetic grate SM separators are usually installed in free-flow pneumatic transportation systems, where material is moving freely or under low pressure.

Principle of operation

Main construction element of the SM separator is a magnetic grate, composed of non-corrosive metal tubes with a unique magnetic system inside. Usage of a 2-layer grating allows complete coverage of separator's flow area, excluding passage of ferromagnetic particles through the separator. Magnetic system is installed on the console flange and has a rubber compacting. SM separators can be round or rectangular in shape, to suit the customer's transportation system. Conjunctive flanges are usually also manufactured for SM separators to simplify their installation into the customer's production line. SM separators can be produced with mechanical cleaning systems for easy cleaning without brushes or scrapers.

Summary

SM magnetic separators are widely used in many industries (glass, chemistry, plastics, foodstuffs), they can be used for separation of various granulated products at the point of feeding raw materials into production lines or during the final quality control production steps.

Technical characteristics :

  1. Separated material fraction - 0,01 - 20 mm;
  2. Separated material humidity – up to 100%;
  3. Output – up to 200 t/hour;
  4. Magnetic system material - Nd-Fe-B, ( ВН )max > 300 kJ/m3;
  5. Magnetic induction on the surface of the magnetic system at t=20(°С ), - 150 - 950 (mTsl);
  6. Maximum operation temperature – up to +80°С (+120°С);
  7. Cleaning system – manual ( mechanical );
  8. Stability of magnetic properties is guaranteed for 10 years.

Separators are fire/explosion-safe devices, which can be used in complicated conditions, requiring strict observance of safety regulations.
